Elementary Instrumental Music Sign-Ups

Now is the time for current 3rd and 4th grade students to sign up for elementary instrumental music for the 2026-2027 school year.  Students currently in 3rd and 4th grade will view a live demonstration of all the instruments.

We are in Step I of the registration process.  Step I closes on May 29th!

New Students: Please have a discussion with your child regarding which instrument they are interested in learning for next school year.  Go to https://www2.soudertonsd.org/instrumentalmusic.  There, you will need your child's Student ID number (the number they use to buy food in the cafeteria).  Answer the questions and submit. We will contact you when it is time to move forward to Step II.

Continuing Students: Every student who is going to play in their SECOND year needs to re-register.  Re-registering will get fresh student information to the music teachers in each building.  There, you will need your child's Student ID number (the number they use to buy food in the cafeteria).

Step II will open on June 10th, 2026. At that time, you will receive an e-mail with further instructions on how to rent an instrument.  Please do not purchase an instrument at this time.

It is the hope of the SASD music department that every child has the opportunity to try a musical instrument while they are in elementary school.  This is an opportune time to explore an area of their education that could bring years of enjoyment and enrichment to their lives in school and beyond.  Please talk with your child to help them decide which instrument would suit them best.  We look forward to having your child in the instrumental music program next school year!
