Weekly News - January 2nd, 2024

We hope you had a wonderful holiday break and a Happy New Year!

  1. It’s Time for Panther Projects -Time for our students to showcase their art and science projects as well as collections and hobbies. The event is Friday, January 26th, 2024. Festivities will be from 6:30-7:30 PM. Forms have been handed out to all students. Deadline to register is Friday, January 12, 2024.   
     
  2. December’s Shoe Tying Challenge! - Many of our students learned to tie their shoes! Our goal was 100%. Please continue to help your child(ren) learn to tie their shoes and be independent!
     
  3. January and February’s Monthly Challenge- Our goal is for students to learn their basic facts!  Help us achieve this goal; we will begin with all students learning addition and subtraction facts. We work our way to multiplying and dividing for the upper grade students, or whomever is ready for it!  Every EMC student has a First In Math account. They can practice their facts in the GYMS section of the program. Students have been presented with the challenge to complete the addition and subtraction gyms!

    >ClassLink will take you to many apps including…First in Math
     
  5. Picking up your child early or a change in dismissal plans? - Please send the office staff and the teacher an e-mail no later than 2pm.   6. Arrival Procedures- Please remember that School Lane is a One-Way Street. The sidewalk in front of our school is a Drop and Go Zone. Please keep the traffic moving by having your child exit the car onto the sidewalk. If you would like to help your child out of the car or walk them to the building, please park on Montgomery or Garfield Avenue and use the crosswalk. Thank you for your help!

  8. Message From Home and School: Do you have any photos you could share for the school yearbook? We need as many photos as we can get, and you contributing any school photos you have- is the best way to make sure your student is well represented in the yearbook. Submit photos with this form or via email at yearbookEMC@gmail.com  Yearbook sales will start this spring! Be on the lookout for 2023-2024 flyers. 2023-2024 Yearbook Picture Upload Form
