Weekly News - September 12th, 2023

Hope you had a great holiday weekend!

1. Kindergarten and First Grade Parent Volunteers: We are looking for parents to volunteer to help in the cafeteria and/or the playground for the first few weeks of school.

2. The online store for School Spirit wear is now open!  Orders must be placed by Sept 25.  There are paper order forms in the front office if needed. 
    

3. Special Event- Spirit Day: Jersey Day! Friday, September 15th: The Student Council is running a special event spirit day on Friday, September 15. Students can wear a sports jersey of any team- local recreation team, college team, or professional team! $1. Donation for this special event spirit day. All monies will go towards student activities at EMC!

4. Arrival and Dismissal Information: Arrival and Dismissal Procedures! We have appreciated all your help with safety and traffic flow! A few reminders-

   *Our building opens at 8:20am, please do not send your child prior to 8:20am, there will not be supervision outside for your child.

   *Take care of our neighbors. Please do not stand on their property and/or block their driveways.

   *If you would like your child dismissed differently than usual, please send a note to school and/or email the teacher AND the main office prior to 2pm each day.

    i.e. pick up early for dr. appointments, a pickup instead of bus rider, etc.
    

5. Boys and Girls Club Bus starts- 9/18/23. This bus is for students that are registered for the afterschool Homework Room at the Club.

6. EMC Back to School Bash - 9/22/23 from 6-8pm at the Boys and Girls Club. See the Back-to-School Bash flyer.
    

7. Back to School Forms - Please return your child’s Back to School Forms to the main office.
