4. EMC Girls on The Run - The Girls on the Run team will meet on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from now until December 4. The 5K race is on December 7. Please email Mrs. Burke, dburke@soudertonsd.org,  with any questions or if you would like to join.  
    
5. Afterschool Bike Club - Wednesday, October 15 and October 22 from 3:30-4:40pm.  
    
6. Souderton Pizza Night Fundraiser - Thursday, October 16. A portion of the sales will benefit EMC’s Home and School. 
    
7. EMC Character Counts Week - Monday, October 20- Friday, October 24. Wear the colors of the day as the students spend time learning about the different character traits that will help them be respectful, responsible, and safe members of the EMC community. 8. Afterschool Card/Board Game Club - Open to 2nd-5th grade students. We will have two sessions, Tuesday, October 21 and Wednesday, November 5. The students will learn to play two or three games each week.   
    
9. EMC Home and School Mtg - Wednesday, October 22 at the Cafe at 7pm. Free babysitting offered. 
    
10. EMC Picture Day - Picture Day is coming on Tuesday, October 28!  
    You can place your order on mylifetouch.com using your Picture Day ID: EVT3PGV9G.Order before midnight on Picture Day to get FREE shipping! Your child can also bring their completed flyer with cash or check on Picture Day. 11. EMC’s Fall Parade and Social - Friday, Oct. 31, from 1:40-2:10pm. Parents are invited to watch our students as they parade through our bus loop, across the street, up School Lane and back to our school.  
     
12. EMC School Store - Wednesday, November 5, during our lunch period.  Our School Store is on the same day as School Spirit Day. Most items cost $0.50-$2.00. Please send money in an envelope with your child’s name and the amount in the envelope. Parent volunteers will help students shop. All proceeds go toward EMC Field Trips.    
     
13. Arrival/Dismissal - School Lane is a One-Way Street on school days from 7:45am-4pm. The sidewalk closest to the school is a Drop and Go Zone. Please keep traffic moving. Your child should exit the car onto the sidewalk. Please do not park in front of residents or school driveways. Drivers should remain in the car.     Important Dismissal Updates 
    - *Bus Riders -Students riding the bus will be dismissed first.  
    - *Walkers and Car Riders-These students will be dismissed after all the buses leave campus at approximately 3:30.  
    - *Early Dismissal: Students leaving before 3:30 will be considered an early dismissal. If your child needs to be dismissed early, please provide advance notice to the office via email or phone. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep dismissal safe and organized for all EMC staff and students.     
        
14. Attendance Reminder - To report an absence, late or early dismissal, please email EMC’s attendance office at: Attendemc@soudertonsd.org. - If you call the school to report an absence, we will also need a written note or email within 3 days. Please include the reason for the absence and a parent/guardian signature.
