December’s monthly challenge…    

Alphabetical Order!  Can your child put words in alphabetical order? How about when the first two letters of words are the same?  Practice at home by listing words in alphabetical order!

5. No School for Students - Monday, November 24-Friday, November 28.  
    
6. School Picture Re-Take Day - School picture re-takes are on Monday, December 1. If you would like a re-take you can place your order on mylifetouch.com using your Picture Day ID: EVTRWBBCZ.  
    
7. EMC Night at McDonalds - Tuesday, December 2 from 5:00-7:00pm. A portion of the proceeds will go to support EMC’s Home and School.   
    
8. Family and Friends Art Night - Please join the Indian Valley Character Counts Coalition Tuesday, December 2 from 6:00-7:30pm at Souderton Area High School. Fun activities for the entire family! See the Family Art Night flyer. 
    
9. EMC School Spirit Day - Wednesday, December 3: Wear EMC colors: Grey, Black and/or Teal or your EMC shirt!  
    
10. EMC School Store - Our next School Store is Wednesday, December 3. Most items cost $0.50 - $2.00. Please send money in an envelope with your child’s name on it and the amount enclosed. Do not send more than $10.oo, please. Parent volunteers will help students shop. All proceeds go toward EMC Field Trips.     
     
11. The Giving Tree - Beginning Monday, November 24 through Monday, December 15 you are invited to stop by the Indian Valley Public Library and pick a star to help members in the community who are need of some holiday cheer! See the Giving Tree flyer.   
     
12. Santa In the Greenhouse - Saturday, December 13 from 9:00am-1:00pm at Souderton High Schools Greenhouse on campus. Fun for the entire family! See the Santa in the Greenhouse flyer for details. 
     
13. EMC Reading Olympics - Fourth and Fifth Grade students are invited to participate and join the Reading Olympics team. Meetings will be held on various dates in the morning at 8:00am. The final event will be held in the evening on a date to be determined in March. See the Reading Olympics information to view permission slips, dates, books and important information.
