Welcome to E. Merton Crouthamel Elementary!

We are a perse community of approximately 380 wonderful students and 50 dedicated staff members, located on School Lane in the picturesque borough of Souderton.

At E.M.C. learning is valued and our faculty and staff work diligently to ensure all students achieve their potential in an enthusiastic, safe and positive environment. We consider our school a village, a village where we strive to be the best we can be, support each other, and provide learning that is rigorous, authentic, and fun! Our school motto : Effort Makes Champions, our school song and chant, embrace our commitment to hard work and perseverance.

At EMC we believe that children are most successful when the connection between home and school is strong and supportive of each other -- to that end, we invite and encourage all parents to be active members of our community through the Home and School Association and/or the Hands Across the District volunteer program. We value the work that these groups do for our school and the partnerships they create. We welcome and encourage you to join us in the various Parent Involvement events that each grade level organizes. There is also a strong tradition of community service and outreach; students participate in a number of programs with the intent of helping to make their world a better place.
